thoughts on gus fring

it kinda disturbs me when i see those macros of gus calling people “fags” because OH HEY gus is gay and i doubt he would ever use that word. i mean i know it’s a meme but still.

also: what happens to gus’s family now? who are they? in the episode where walt comes to his house, there are children’s toys in the background & gus mentions kids.

so, like, do the kids have a second daddy or an egg donor? as much as i believe gus loved max, i doubt he was celibate the rest of his life. is there some little-known househusband with salt and pepper hair who works as a researcher for the local paper from home? i like to imagine he’s a lot like skyler: knows what gus does for a living but is way more interested in manufacturing the fiction of his family’s cover. maybe he goes to all of their junior high daughter’s debate meets or organizes their son’s kindergarten playdates. maybe he understands that gus can never be truly vulnerable with their family, but he loves him and that fiction so much, he’s willing to give up normalcy.
